Partner and Founder of Gateways Learning, Inc., a firm committed to the human side of change. Drawing on 30 years of hands-on leadership and pragmatic experience, Karen is building a practice that focuses on individual and organizational change by synthesizing coaching, integral adult development, and communications. In the process, she helps clients take charge of their lives and lead at new levels of mastery and contribution.
Karen's work draws from the strengths and challenges of a non-traditional career, characterized by experimentation, risk-taking, and a passionate blend of curiosity, creativity, and caring. Through Gateways Technology Marketing, Inc., she provided strategic marketing services designed to sustain growth through repeat business and referral. She mastered corporate challenges as a change agent in strategic communications and marketing within GE Aerospace and Philips Broadband.
Karen earned her PhD in American Studies from Syracuse University and Integral Coaching certification from New Venture West. She has served on the board of the Chicago Coach Federation and on an advisory committee to the Gannon Center for Women and Leadership at Loyola University.
